About Me

From the Courtroom to the kitchen, from drafting and preparing for litigation, to now writing and cooking delicious recipes – The Tasty Lawyer was founded.

I was born, raised and educated in London, qualifying as a lawyer 20 years ago. A move to the Midlands during this time, has been my home ever since. I am a busy mum to two children, whom I have raised, whilst also pursuing my love and passion for cooking.

Being brought up within a Punjabi household, I was always around fresh Indian food being prepared at home. As such, I learnt from a very young age how to cook authentic North Indian cuisine from both my parents.

To this day, my passion for cooking has continued. I love entertaining and sharing my home cooking with friends and family. I think my friends would definitely say that I am a feeder when they pop around – no one leaves my home with an empty stomach – now that would be a crime in my books!

So, I founded The Tasty Lawyer to inspire, impart my knowledge and teach and show you that home style Indian cooking need not be complicated or take up a vast amount of time. Cooking Indian food at home, as well as being extremely delicious and tasty, can be healthy, can cater for your individual dietary requirements and can easily slot into the busy lifestyles we all now tend to lead.

Attending the cookery school, you will learn to create various tasty dishes throughout the day. Depending on the course booked, eat or take home what has been prepared. Then use the recipes from the class, so that you can re-create the dishes made, within your own home kitchens, to impress your family and friends. All this in an entertaining and relaxed setting.

I look forward to seeing you all in my kitchen.
